Foresthill Program OptionsK–2 Grade:
Forest Charter offers classes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:15–2:15. (Kindergarten students are picked up at 12:15 on Thursdays.) These classes focus on math, language arts (reading, writing, phonics), history and science.3-8 Grade:
Forest Charter’s 3rd–5th and 6th–8th grade classes meet from 8:15–2:15 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Students are with their classroom teacher during these times for math, language arts, history, and science.Foresthill Elective Classes:
Elective classes are held on Monday and Tuesday afternoons from 12:15–2:15. Elective classes are available to both co-op and independent study students in the Foresthill area. Elective classes change each year, but are likely to include art, drama, music, fitness, photography, movie making, computers, sign language and creative writing.Field Trips:
Foresthill Learning Center teachers believe that hands-on experiential learning is an important part of educating a child. Therefore, we offer various field trips throughout the year that center around the learning themes taught in the classes. Examples of trips include: living history experiences, science exploration trips, Tahoe Tree Top Adventure Park, rock climbing, museums and more!
